How to ENABLE the REMOTE DEVICE setting on SR-2 & SR-3 systems
Please follow the below procedure step by step to ENABLE the REMOTE DEVICE setting on a ThermoKing SR-2 or SR-3 system
Setting this feature to ENABLED allows Cooltrax to start, stop and send other remote commands to a suitably equipped unit. Setting this feature to DISABLED prevents this control.
IMPORTANT: Battery power should be isolated from the refrigeration unit, or the REMOTE DEVICE feature should be set DISABLED before working on the unit if the unit is equipped with a device that allows it to be started and stopped from a remote location.
- Turn the unit ON
- Press the MENU key. The Main Menu appears.
- Press and hold both the EXITand unlabelled key for 5 seconds. The Maintenance Menu appears.
- Press the NEXT key until you reach the Set Time and Date Menu
- Press and hold both the EXIT and unlabelled key for 5 seconds. The Guarded Access Menu appears.
- Select the first menu that appears - Programmable Features
- Press the NEXT key until you reach the Remote Device setting. Select this setting.
- Press the NEXT or BACK key to change the setting to Enabled.
- Press the EXIT key to return to the Main Menu. The message CONFIGURING SYSTEM PLEASE WAIT will show on the screen.
- You have successfully Enabled the Remote Device setting and can now send remote commands to the refrigeration unit.
